CENT DETRESSES
French Post Rock
Cent Détresses combines a powerful voice – in the service of well-crafted French lyrics – with ambient rock. It’s also a strong stage presence that evokes the maritime world.

Reflecting the peaceful waters of Morbihan – the band’s home base – as well as the storms brewing offshore, Cent Détresses’ music oscillates between calm and power.

The words explode from a heart-rending voice, and the sounds reveal themselves to be incisive and powerful through each instrument. The group’s musical and human cohesion is brought to life on stage, where aesthetics and the demand for precision give it a unique and spellbinding character.

After Oxygène and Ralentir, Cent Détresses recorded their new opus in Brussels with sound engineer Charles de Schutter. He has worked with artists such as -M-, Kyo, Angèle and No one is innocent.

Terre Amère sounds like a call to action. The haunting riffs and rhythmic guitars, combined with a powerful bass-drum fusion, sound like the warning of a siren, inviting you to plunge into the astonishing, even mysterious atmosphere of Cent Détresses.
